Urologist surgeon
General information
Urologist Theodoros Karagkounis graduated from Medical School in 1998 and followed the specialisation of urology at the University Hospital of Heraklion in Crete. He has a private practice in the city of Chania since 2011 and he is also the Scientific Director of the Tsepeti, urological clinic of Chania.
Academic studies and training
Dr. Theodoros Karagkounis is a graduate of the Medical School of the University of Craiova in Romania. He obtained his specialty at the University Urology Clinic of Heraklion in Crete from where he received the Urology specialisation in 2010. He was the director of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy of the Hospital of Heraklion, where he carried out 920 sessions.
Professional experience
Since 2011 Dr. Theodoros Karagkounis works privately in the city of Chania. He is the Scientific Director of the Urology Department of the Tsepeti Clinic. Besides General Uorology, he has a special interest and experience in the lithiasis of the renal system but also in Andrology and Infertility. He is a member of the U4U team and the Director for the operation of the team in Crete.
